Anti-trust Law
Antitrust law shall guarantee fair competition including that companies behave independent of each other in the market. Therefore any anticompetitive arrangements are forbidden according to Art. 101 of the Consolidated version of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union ( former Art. 81 TEC (treaty of the European Community)) prohibit any anticompetitive agreements or behaviour between competitors. Art. 102 of the Consolidated version of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union ( former Art. 82 TEC(treaty of the European Community)) forbid market dominating companies to misuse their position. European antitrust law has to be considered mandatorily for companies globally operating in the market.
